Civil Partnership

The law in relation to civil partnerships changed dramatically with the introduction into Irish Law of the Civil Partnership and Certain Rights of Cohabitants Act 2010. It is likely to be some time before the courts have been asked to determine the complex areas that this new piece of legislation has brought into Irish Law. It is likely to be the case that certain precedents set down by the courts in other family law cases previously may be used as guidance in this area. The position remains to be seen and we will continue to monitor this area and advise our clients accordingly.

Our experienced solicitors can advise you on this new area of the law. We will advise you based on your own particular situation.
