Child Abduction

If a child is removed from the jurisdiction without authority or consent from it’s custodial parent generally speaking that is classed as child abduction. In the event that you find yourself in this situation you are advised to obtain legal advice immediately as both Irish and International Law which govern this complex area acknowledge the importance of the return of the child to it’s habitual residence at which stage any dispute can be determined.

Our experienced solicitors can attend the local district court to make the initial applications that are necessary. Where necessary we can also seek expert advises from specialist counsel on this very complex area of the law. We will be able to advise you based on your own particular situation.

If you have any queries in relation to child abduction please contact aoife@fof.ie or our general office at fof@fof.ie .Alternatively please telephone us on 059 9130500 to speak to a solicitor or to make an appointment.
